Europe will be soon waking up to trains that will zip faster than Super Man and the transportation that has taken Japan into new heights. Shinkansen (Bullet Trains of Japan) has been a great success for a nation made of tiny islands. The European rail companies are planning to replicate the same to counter the cheap air fares.

European rail companies are implementing faster trains between major cities. The travel time between Paris and Strasbourg has been halved and it takes around 2 hours 20 minutes. There will be other trains from Paris to cities in Germany and Switzerland. The fast train service is due to start in June this year.

London based European rail has drafted package tours as well. There are six day trips to France and ten day trips to Spain which starts at about $1300 which includes travel, lodging and food.
