No Guide No Travel Policy

Ifugao, a small provincial town in Philippines has introduced ‘no guide, no travel’ policy effective immediately. The policy came into effect after a resident was murdered by a person who posed as a tour guide.

This rule applies to all places including tourist attractions in the town. It’s not yet sure how the Government authorities would authorize and identify guides who would be allowed inside the city and the process the tourists might have to take to visit this town.

Maybe the locals and the city administration are reacting heavily over the killing. A murder is an extremely minute reason to restrict travel and discourage travelers. Some of the world popular attractions like the Banaue and Batad rice terraces would succumb to a policy implemented in a jiffy.
