Travel Guides on Cell Phone
Printed maps, mapquest driving directions and other travelable items are some of the common items carried by travelers all around the globe. There is some homework to be done before we leave our homes like getting directions and knowing the places of visit etc. Imagine doing all this on the go.
Britain’s Automobile Association (AA) has come out with SmartTravel, a travel guide on a memory card which can be used along with any new cell phones that are 3G enabled. Using this guide, one can search places, find directions, places of interest, food joints, hotels and almost everything a traveler needs. This software could be used to let other people know about your whereabouts. You can even upload photos to the internet.
If you are in Europe, this is one bad boy that you need to carry along. This is an all-in-one travel partner; forget about those maps and directions off the internet.
