Here is a device that lets you watch TV on your laptop while traveling or while camping.

WinTV-HVR-950 is a little stick that sticks into your USB port on your laptop and with the help of a portable aerial; it catches TV signals in the air, both analog and digital.

This device includes an application that lets you record programs as you see it. It also lets you schedule the recording just like your TV tuner card. Sounds perfect for some late night shows huh!

The WinTV is priced at $99 and is available in the market.

Every time we go out on vacation, we need our beer and cool drinks to stay cold until we reach our destination. But, the coolers that we use that uses ice can only suffice for a limited number of hours. It also occupies a significant amount of luggage space. Here’s something to cheer about for real beer drinkers; a mobile refrigerator that can be carried around easily inside cars and SUVs.

CarryCool is a refrigerator on the move that plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and keeps the stored stuff cold for as long as the drive. So, there is no need to worry about refilling ice in your cooler or worrying about your beer not being chill enough. Sounds like a perfect vacation gear for me.

CarryCool has a price tag of $155 which is a little over priced for a refrigerator having dimensions 14.5”×15.7”×11” and weighing 5 pounds. But no price is too much for a mug of cold beer.

GotWind.org has built a prototype and displayed the concept of a wind-turbine cell phone charger. If the prototype becomes a reality, GW could bag a huge contract which could change their lives forever.

The prototype constructed is designed to be placed on top of dome style tents and is expected to fully charge cell phones in 2 hours.

Geeks feel that they need to distinguish themselves from others even for the most simplest of applications. The geeky lost and found tag is voice operated now. The owner records a 20 second message and probably records information such as name, address, phone number and other vital information.

This sound tag comes in bright yellow color and is compact with a 2 1/4 x 3” size. It operates on 3 batteries and is shaped like a “plus”. With such a bright tag on any luggage, it would probably attract thieves more than the job it is meant to do.

In a quest to reduce the size of all computing peripherals, keyboards have shrunk several times but our fingers have remained the same. Although smaller accessories could be an amicable solution but on a comfort scale, it miserably fails.

But, imagine if the same peripherals have retained its original size but folds into a suitcase just like any other piece of cloth, sounds perfect huh!

Introducing fabric keyboards from Eleksen which are QWERTY keyboards and similar sized as regular one. When not being used, it can be easily folded and put away in your suitcase. Perfect for travelers, isn’t it? There are both USB wired and wireless keyboards are in the market.

These keyboards are made a special fabric, ElekTex which responds to pressure and translates it into electrical signals. With ElekTex, the type of touch can also be determined, so it can distinguish between simple presses, swipes, strokes and gestures.
