Every time we go out on vacation, we need our beer and cool drinks to stay cold until we reach our destination. But, the coolers that we use that uses ice can only suffice for a limited number of hours. It also occupies a significant amount of luggage space. Here’s something to cheer about for real beer drinkers; a mobile refrigerator that can be carried around easily inside cars and SUVs.

CarryCool is a refrigerator on the move that plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and keeps the stored stuff cold for as long as the drive. So, there is no need to worry about refilling ice in your cooler or worrying about your beer not being chill enough. Sounds like a perfect vacation gear for me.

CarryCool has a price tag of $155 which is a little over priced for a refrigerator having dimensions 14.5”×15.7”×11” and weighing 5 pounds. But no price is too much for a mug of cold beer.

Geeks feel that they need to distinguish themselves from others even for the most simplest of applications. The geeky lost and found tag is voice operated now. The owner records a 20 second message and probably records information such as name, address, phone number and other vital information.

This sound tag comes in bright yellow color and is compact with a 2 1/4 x 3” size. It operates on 3 batteries and is shaped like a “plus”. With such a bright tag on any luggage, it would probably attract thieves more than the job it is meant to do.

Have you tried operating your iPod when you are wearing gloves? It’s like an aircraft that head towards Manila when you try to direct it towards London. There is absolutely no control or stability.

These days we seem to have an answer for every problem. That’s the advantage of having such amazing technology but there are repelling effects as well. Gadling has covered a pair of gloves that allow easy operation of iPods when donned.

Tavo products has introduced iPod gloves that allows users to operate the scroll mouse on the iPod with ease during the Winter season when gloves become mandatory. It has a silicone texture for better grip and control and is based on Playpoint technology that allows use of iPod Click Wheel and other devices with touch pads. It’s made of thermal stretch fabric for comfort and warmth. It can be worn alone or along with winter gloves and could be used for day to day activities like running, exercising and other winter sports.

These gloves are priced at $20 and seem reasonable as these pair of gloves could be worn for every other winter activity.

The title could be a misnomer as the toiletries that I intend to introduce will be applicable for everyone.

Have you watched ‘Back to the Future II’? When Dr.Brown and Marty head to the future, there is a particular scene where the future Mrs. McFly places a disc (around the size of a cookie) in an oven and it blows up to become a half and half pizza. Replace the pizza with some tablets and the oven with water; you get an instant toothpaste, mouth wash and shaving gel.

Chicago based Travelon has released instant tooth paste, mouth wash and shaving gel in form of tablets. All three are to be mixed with water to be used for its respective applications. These products come with a mixing container.

Some countries and airlines impose a restriction on the amount of liquids that could be taken on a flight. These tablets could just be the answer to those miserable rules. Also, I see it as a space saver.

Wiki’s characteristics of bear - Common characteristics of bears include a short tail, acute senses of smell and hearing, a snubbed nose, five non-retractable claws per paw, and long, dense, shaggy fur. Its strength of smell detection is one of the best in the animal kingdom. Many campers often feel deprived of their food stash, thanks to bears who steal food.

Ursack has introduced a bear resistant food bag made of bullet proof fabric. These bags can accomodate 650 cubic inches of pack space and weighs 8 ounces. They come in camouflage green colors like the military. Ursack needs to be tied from a tree or a strong branch which can withhold bear tugs. If a tree is unavailable, tie them from a stone ledge something that can withhold the bear’s strength.

Keep any food item that could leak in a plastic bag inside URSACK. Even though a bear may not be able to penetrate URSACK, he may be able to crush the contents. If URSACK does get crushed, there won’t be a “food reward” that can be licked from the outside.

Watch some videos of bears trying to get a snack from Ursack.
